The day has been spent listening to recounts, and rememberances of this dramatic day 10 years ago. Every story is different, and each just as tragic as the one before it.
A comment that came from two of the 9/11 children had great impact on me, and it may have been missed by a lot of people. These kids are not likely to have a more tragic or dramatic event in their lives as that day, and yet this is what they said, "I don't get so upset over the little things of life, as I see a lot of other people do. How bad can things really be? Frustrations at work or school, simple dissapointments, someone says an unkind word? Now those things are so small in the whole scheme of things."
I thought of what a big deal we make over a lost sale, or something that doesn't go our way. There have been many loses in my life, sad and somewhat overwhelming, but nothing like this.
Hopefully I can remember the words of these extraordinary children who may just approach life differently than we ever believed possible.
