So the time has come, I have cataracts and it affects my vision. The things I am discovering about aging is, there is an up side to every phase of life, even if we dread it, or fear it.
Since the age of 9, I have worn glasses. When I was 9 I thought it was neat. A beautiful friend of mine wore glasses and they looked so classy - ON HER!! I did not have her beautiful features and I became the one the boys said, "You don't make passes at girls who wear glasses", which by the way was true in the 50's and 60's.
Now however, I don't care, and I can have my vision totally restored by removing the cataracts, which I have because I am aging. What a life this is.
"Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.'' Franz Kafka said that, don't know who he is, but that is a relevant statement for me right now.
Will keep you posted on the progress of my new "Phase of life"
