What we forget
An interesting thing happened this week. A long, long ago customer called me to discuss listing his home. The first part of the conversation revolved around how the previous work we did together was not satisfactory because the house sold too fast, and the price he accepted was much lower than he expected. By about 20%. I accepted the argument and once again got the listing eager to do a better job this time. In reviewing the history of that previous listing, I discovered the house did sell fast, and within 3% of list price. I have no idea how he came up with his numbers, but grateful to have another go at it. It just reminded me what we think, what we remember and what we forget truly have no relevance to what is real. So forget the past. It has nothing to do with the present.
